Coach Steffi Fleagle

Steffi is currently our HSE Varsity Lacrosse Head Coach.
Steffi started playing lacrosse in the 8th grade as a means to hang out with her friends. The sport turned into a great opportunity; Steffi took advantage of playing on multiple travel leagues during the summer.
Originally from Ohio, Steffi played all four years of high school at Dublin Coffman High School, continuing to play on travel teams in the off-season.
Steffi attended Walsh University from 2013-2017, where she played lacrosse and studied History & Education. She was awarded Most Valuable Player her freshman and sophomore years by her peers and coaches.
Outside of lacrosse, Steffi has coached CrossFit for over four years, as well as helped develop training programs for high school swimming programs alongside her husband, Josh. Outside of the sports world, Steffi enjoys spending time with her husband and dog, Luna, and exploring the outdoors.
Coach John Kim

Coach John Kim is entering his 3rd year as a coach for HSE.
He was born in Muncie Indiana and played baseball, basketball, and football for the Muncie Central HS. Upon graduation he accepted a scholarship to play football for Indiana State University where he played outside linebacker for the Sycamores. After second ACL injury coach Kim decided to focus on his academics and left football.
Coach Kim graduated from Ball State University. During his time at HSE, he helped the program institute speed based training and implemented a principles based offense focusing on “team” offense. His practices plans incorporated ecological approach to help players produce quicker results in games.
Coach Kim also influenced his players to focus on breathing techniques to focus on central nervous stimulations to help minimize acute injuries.
Coach Kim takes great pride in bringing new and proven techniques to coaching our young women to be the best they can be.
Coach Kim’s first year coaching team sports was with the youth Mudsock’s football team followed by coaching youth girls lacrosse team. He coached for several years and was asked to help HSE JV and last year was asked to become the offensive coordinator for the varsity team. As well, trained many students in martial arts at his fathers martial arts school, learning form a life long Olympic coach his father.
Coach Kim continues to spend a considerable amount of time learning and attending seminars to actively broaden his coaching skills. He recently attended coaching clinics with USA lacrosse and had the opportunity to meet and discuss coaching techniques from Notre Dame offensive coordinator Adam Sear. Coach Kim is a student of Jamie Monroe’s womens lacrosse coaches training program.
He and his wife Jennifer are proud parents of two kids, Jason and Samantha.

2024 HSE Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Fisher is heading into his 10th year of coaching girls lacrosse…which started with his eldest daughter, Stella and has continued with his youngest daughter, Edie.
One of the first questions we are asked as coaches is, ‘Did you play lacrosse?’. For Coach Fisher that answer is “no” but he played many different sports growing up including Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, and Track & Field (sprinter and pole vault).
He has learned a lot about the sport over the years by being involved nearly year-round since his start in 2015. His style has been described as “coaching through positive reinforcement only”. “If you’re not making mistakes you’re not trying hard enough”
Graduate of Ball State University with a degree in Human Resources – Management and spent nearly 20 years in recruiting and human resources before starting his own business. Native Restoration Services, LLC specializes in ecological restoration and native landscaping
In his free time Coach Fisher enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Birding has become a hobby that he and his wife Jenni developed together. They now have 168 different species of birds on their “life list”!

Coach Greg Wright

Greg Wright is one of our JV Coaches.
Greg has coached youth soccer, baseball, and basketball, but this is his first time coaching at the high school level and his first time coaching lacrosse. Although he hasn’t coached lacrosse, or even played lacrosse before, he is quickly learning the details of the game. He’s finding that there are definitely some things he can transfer from soccer and basketball to the game of lacrosse. He’s eager to keep learning and has even been working on his own stick skills!
Greg is married and has three children. His oldest son, Conner, kicked for the football team and ran cross country and track at HSE. Conner graduated high school in 2021 and is graduating from Indiana University with a degree in Business in May. Greg’s middle child, Logan, played soccer and ran track at HSE. Logan graduated in 2023 and is a current sophomore at IU. Greg’s youngest daughter, Morgan, is a junior at HSE and she played soccer and runs cross country and track.
You might wonder how Greg ended up coaching JV Lacrosse. Greg and his wife are hosting a foreign exchange student this year and she is playing lacrosse. With some changes in the coaching staff from last year, there were openings for JV Coaches. Greg stepped up, and out of his comfort zone, for the girls in our program.
Growing up, Greg played baseball, basketball, tennis, and ran cross country and track. He studied Business at Indiana University and went on to attend Dental School in Indianapolis. Greg practices at Bailey & Wright Dentistry in Indianapolis and also at Wright & Wheeler Dentistry in Lapel.
In his free time, Greg enjoys working out, doing yard work, playing cards, hiking, and traveling.
Coach Drew Henseleit

Coach Drew Henseleit
Coaching Experience:
2022-2024 – Mudsock U12-U14 Assistant Coach
2025 – HSE Goalie Coach
Drew Henseleit grew up in Kokomo, Indiana, playing baseball and basketball. A passionate sports fan, he follows hockey, football, baseball, basketball, and lacrosse. However, lacrosse was completely unfamiliar to him until 2020, when his daughter Kaitlyn joined the Mudsocks program after their family moved to the area. He began volunteering as a coach the following year. With Kaitlyn playing goalie year-round, Coach Drew has focused on that position to support her and other goalies.
A Purdue University graduate, Drew began his career as an electrical engineer with BraunAbility. After 15 years, he had the opportunity to relocate back to Central Indiana in a new role with the company—an easy decision, as it meant escaping the snow belt of Northwest Indiana!
Drew and his wife, Kristin, have three daughters: Addison, Kaitlyn, and Amelia. Kristin has also been active in the lacrosse community, coaching the U8 girls’ team in previous seasons and currently leading the U10 squad, where Amelia is a player. Their oldest daughter, Addison, is set to graduate from HSE in 2025 and will attend Purdue University, pursuing a degree in Robotics.
With a household full of athletes—including Mudsocks Rugby, high school lacrosse, and Mudsocks Youth Lacrosse players—family time is often spent at games, practices, and training camps. Coach Drew is always eager to learn new drills and techniques from all of the different sports to help his goalies improve. When he does find free time, he enjoys traveling with his family or relaxing with his two dogs and a comfortable chair.

Emma Connell

Hi Everyone!
My name is Emma Connell and this will be my 4th year coaching at HSE. I am a 2017 graduate of HSE and have played lacrosse for the past 14 years, including 4 years as a varsity player on attack at HSE.
I was a part of the 2015 state runner up and 2016 state championship teams and have throughly enjoyed coaching offense for the past 3 years on the turf I grew up on. Aside from coaching I am a laboratory scientist for IU health and love going hiking, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
I live in fishers with my husband and our dog and cat. The coaches are all very excited to start the newest chapter of HSE girls lacrosse and cannot wait to have a fun memorable season for the girls! Go Royals!
